A list actress Kim Powers (Hilary Duff) causes dilemma when she shows
interest in a new
project from screenwriter Sam Baum (Josh Gad), who has already promised the
lead to his girlfriend Sammy (Kristen Rhulin)...
Johnny Messner plays "John", Sammy's ex-husband who runs into Sam and Sammy.
He finds himself inserted into their lives. John is a very successful
surgeon that is also a bit of a playboy. He has a bond to Sammy that makes
Sam wonder. John is in LA briefly but finds himself liking Sam and Sammy's
company so much he moves in with them.
I'm told that as "John" Johnny plays a laid back romantic of sorts and
that this character
is significantly softer and tame than any character we have seen him play as
of late.
